2009 April Fools' The Awesome Me's Blog "2009 April Fools' Ore-sama no Blog") is a site event that ran from March 31 - April 1, 2009 in observance of April Fools' Day. The plot of the event follows Prussia, whose creates a blog and documents his interactions with other characters, while simultaneously receiving comments from them as well. The story also features a tie-in to the webcomic "The Gentle Fight Between Russia and I", which was released simultaneously.

This event was later adapted in the Drama CD Hetalia Drama CD Interval Vol. 1: The CD Of The Awesome Me.

Plot Summary

Prussia announces the creation of his blog, though in his first entry he complains about the difficulty of setting it up. Italy leaves a comment congratulating him and says he thought about making a blog too but took a siesta instead. Prussia eagerly replies and says that the two of them should make a blog together. In his next entry, Prussia posts a picture of China from when he encountered him while out on a walk. China tries to sell him a Panda stuffed animal that he says will make him happy. Prussia says that he won't be fooled by this even on April Fools' Day. However, in the follow up post, Prussia posts a photo of the Panda plush sitting in his room with the caption "...fuck it."

Prussia posts a picture of himself pinching and stretching Austria's cheeks, aptly titling the post AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA This is followed up by a post where Hungary seems to attack him, and Prussia admits he can't remember what happens next. Germany comments and asks why he does these things, since he should know this stuff is a bad idea. Prussia responds that "You're only a man if you know about it and still go forth with a challenge!". He follows up this with a post of a blurry selfie, which Estonia comments that he doesn't intend to "forget about THAT and that" and directs him to the poster for his new independent film. Prussia replies that he only wants comments about him, and that he's more important than that kind of stuff, to which Estonia responds that he would've been able to see a cooler version of him had Prussia focused better.

Prussia responds to an email asking about the bird sitting on his head, where he expresses surprise at the bird's presence. Italy comments and tells him that the bird is frequently on his head, and wonders if it can deliver letters like France's bird, and Prussia is shocked that it's been on his head that much. However, he soon posts another entry where he decides it's cute and he likes it. Later, he posts a picture patting a distressed-looking Latvia's head as requested. Russia comments that it's cute and he wants to touch him next time, and Prussia tells him to get lost. He takes a further request where he takes a picture of each of the Nordics going about their day, at his own risk.

Hong Kong shows up selling another plush Panda, and Prussia says that he won't fall for it again. However, his next post reveals that he did end up buying it, and Germany asks him to stop collecting so many weird objects. Austria similarly scolds him, and asks him not to pawn off the stuff he doesn't want onto him. Prussia rebuffs them,

Hong Kong, YOU too, huh? Damn it! When I was taking a nap Untitled I'm alive!! Just as I thought, France is great at cooking!
