Welcome

I thought I'd take the initiative and create a portal like this, as it functioned very well at the other wiki I used to frequent (and still admin). I've recently finished redoing the character userboxes so be sure to copy the codes for your favorite characters to your user page! We've also begun a new project called "Project Article" - so check it out and join if it seems interesting to you. -FH14 02:13, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

Manga Revamp

Okay, the Manga section is kind of a mess, and becoming extremely long. Watermint has set up these nifty Volume Pages (1, 2 and 3, and I was proposing that maybe we just merge the contents of List of Hetalia: Axis Powers chapters (published manga) into those pages. The Comic Diary and Main Webcomic Chapter pages stay basically as they are, and the Extra Stories page split into two.

Hetalia: Axis Powers Manga
Published Volume 1 · Volume 2 · Volume 3 · Arte Stella · Volume 4
Online Main Storyline · Comic Diaries · Extra Stories (2006-2009 · 2010-Present· Lost Comics

^Basically This. I'm gonna go through the webcomic again (because I'm a nut) and revise the basic parts of those pages myself. (I chose 2009 as the end for the first page because we can pretty much tell what's come out in 2010 and 2011, and we can just assume everything else is 2009 or earlier.) What is everyone's thoughts on this? -FH14 02:05, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

Great idea! It makes sense to do it that way since we would end up with duplicates of the same page. Plus, it will be a lot cleaner and users will have a much easier time searching for what they're looking for; especially if they know the volume but not the name of that strip. Clean-up of the Memes, Pairings and Fanterms Pages

I don't think we need an expert to tell us that these pages need a major clean-up. It's a serious task that will need help of multiple members but we also need ideas on how to go about this. I have a few of my own:

  • Removing Nyotalia, Nekotalia and the Mochi stuff to their own separate pages. This will free up a ton of space on the page.
  • Removal of the crack pairings on the main pairings list (unless it's a very popular crack pairing like Canada/Ukraine).
  • If the pairing has a page, we can remove the extra text and just leave the link on the main list.
  • Put the fanterms alphabetically by character (also alphabetically). Right now they're all over the place.
  • Remove the Nyotalia fanterms. From I what I know they're already listed under the memes page.
  • Move the pairing terms to the pairings list. (See my sandbox for a possible format)

I had more ideas but I'm drawing a blank right now. What do you guys think of the ones so far? Icelilly 01:11, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

I have to say the cleanup is definitely overdue. All for the separate pages for Nyo, Neko, and Mochitalia. Iffy on the crack pairings thing. Either remove all crack pairings or none, as it'll just make upset editors/visitors. Also your mileage may vary when your talking about the popularity of anything, as a lot of its subjective with people's experiences in fandom. Ditto with the definition of "crack". Also it would be so much easier if we ordered the pairings alphabetical (i.e. China/Japan, Hungary/Prussia, Liechtenstein/Switzerland) simply because it'll remove the issue of what it will be filed under entirely, and it'll be easier to find. I would add more, but I'm a bit burnt out from doing wiki stuff a good chunk of the afternoon. -FH14 03:08, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
Also I say also a lot. What is wrong with me today? -FH14 03:09, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
Ugh yeah, the definition of "crack pairing" is different for everyone so it could definitely erupt some wars. Plus, the label for crack pairing could prove to be difficult for some pairings depending where you are in the fandom. For example, America/Belarus has some popularity with the Japanese fanbase (or at least the Pixiv fanbase) but it's pretty much unknown around the western parts of the fandom. It is possible the editor could try to produce a good reason as to why it should be there in the first place. But pairings like Iceland/Liechtenstein and Turkey/Hungary are pairings I doubt really need to be in there. I'm iffy on listing the pairings alphabetically. Yes, it does make things easier to find but it might provoke edit wars and freak out some readers; especially if they see Liechtenstein/Switzerland rather than Switzerland/Liechtenstein.
Now, go get some sleep. You need it! I'm going to start working on some beta stuff. Icelilly 03:50, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

Hey I hope no one minds me bringing this back but did you guys like what you saw in my sandbox? The fanterms list is ready to be rolled out if you guys like it and I can also move forward with the pairings format I proposed. I just need your approval first. Icelilly 08:51, 8 November 2011 (EST)

Identifying Merchandise

Anyone know what these are? - 1 2 -FH14 15:03, 4 November 2011 (EST)

No clue on the first one. It looks like a book of some kind that went under the radar (I don't remember seeing this posted on LJ at all). The second one I assume is some sort of drama CD. Maybe they're answering questions from fans? At least we have a cast list:

I think we know who plays who so I'm not listing the VAs. That cover still freaks me out though. Icelilly 15:11, 4 November 2011 (EST)

Went down the page and found out that it was supposed to be released on September 21 but was delayed to October 26. Doesn't really help in anyway but it's info we can add to the page when we get an article started. Icelilly 15:17, 4 November 2011 (EST)

Sources

Hey guys. I got this question in my inbox in Tumblr:

"About the new APH Wiki, will you put Hiamruya's references for some blog entries, facts, history of the character or personality traits on each characters' page ?"

This was my response:

"I’ve actually been wanting to do this for a long time. The major hurdle is that a lot of info we’ve collected over the years is old stuff that has since been deleted off his blog. Thankfully we do have sources posted for some stuff but it’s mostly for images. (ex. the Portugal sketches from last year)

I’ll pass on the question to the other editors. I’ll see what we can do."

What do you think guys? I've been wanted to do this for quite some time but like I wrote it's difficult to sometimes source his stuff. Himaruya has a habit deleting information. Plus, we got some of our stuff through Japanese internet archive sites and the major one where most of the info came from suffered an outage and lost and a good chunk of its database. What should we do guys? Icelilly 08:11, 9 November 2011 (EST)

Link Banners

I don't remember who proposed this but I think it was FH14? Anyways, Red was kind enough to make us link banners right around the time we had the first outage. What do you guys think? Do you like them?

Oh nice! I especially like the third one for some reason MizuTakishima 23:53, 7 February 2012 (EST)

Extra Languages

Never really got why we don't allow foreign language lyrics on here. The song pages are bloated as it is, so I'm not sure how big of a difference an extra set of lyrics would make... :/ -FH14 09:38, 21 February 2012 (EST)

If I remember correctly, we got rid of them when we were on Wikia back in 2010 because there was a group consensus that they were linked to fanon and crowding up the pages. My memory is fuzzy though (Mint and Wisnia might remember better than me). I'd have to go do some digging on where the actual discussion is. On a somewhat related note, I think Niyo had a format in her sandbox. I'm not sure if it's still here so I'll have to check. Icelilly 09:51, 21 February 2012 (EST)

EDIT: Found Niyo's lyric layout! Icelilly 09:53, 21 February 2012 (EST)

Lyrics

I did a sandbox of what the lyrics page could look like based on Niyo's design. It also includes the extra language lyrics if we are to keep them. What do you guys think? Icelilly 17:31, 22 February 2012 (EST)

Voice Work

I'm playing with the BTS templates to create something along the lines of what's in place at the LGPedia, where we have a category listing all the voice work a voice actor has done, perhaps with subcategories as well separating anime, games, audio drama, and songs (and have the article listed in the main voice work category and the subcategory, sort of like how the characters category currently works). What do you guys think? -FH14 12:04, 27 February 2012 (EST)

I like it! I think it could be helpful. You get the thumbs up from me! Icelilly 12:18, 27 February 2012 (EST)

Character Bar

CharacterBarTest.png

I'm experimenting with changes to the character bar and I'd love other people's imput. The image on the right is more-or-less what I'm going for, though I'll probably tweak with the image dimension and resolution size so as to not stretch out the page as much. What do you guys think? Any suggestions? -FH14 17:59, 20 April 2012 (EST)

I like it! It still looks clean and we could use the change around here. Thumbs up from me! Icelilly 03:51, 21 April 2012 (EST)

Black vs. Brown

Due to Himaruya's style of coloring and inconsistent schemes, a lot of "black"-haired characters look like they have brown highlights. I've noticed there tends to be disagreement over classifying a character's hair color, as seen with Molossia and just about every Asian. Studio DEEN hasn't helped with its designs of China and Korea. I saw Japan listed as "dark brown" and reverted it immediately; he's too much of a stereotype to be brown-haired! But with that chibi in the corner it was understandable, even though the majority of Himaruya's art gives him black. I don't know, it's kind of like counting Italy as a redhead.

Looking at the colored volume 4 art here, Seychelles and Japan definitely have black hair. So maybe Himaruya's style to leaning back to "true" black hair. Where shall we draw the line between "dark brown" and "black"? 68.192.96.252 23:46, 25 June 2012 (EST)

Seasons

I've created a mockup of sorts for possible seasons pages here (the Table of Contents will make it so the gap between the cast headings in the middle won't be there). What do you guys think? I've also created an alternate layout of the episode list. -FH14 12:57, 23 September 2012 (EST)

I'm loving all of it! I was going to ask you about the gap but you've already answered my question. You get the go-ahead from me! Icelilly 13:22, 23 September 2012 (EST)
That looks good to me, too! Though I'm a bit on the fence about a "reception" space. . .that opens the door for a lot of. Mess. But I also feel like it's pretty important to have. I guess I'm just a bit worried about spam and such--but it isn't anything we can't just undo so lol. I like it! I like the episode list layout, too. The only thing I don't like about it is the space over/under the text, but with the format it's pretty unavoidable and it's really minor and a personal thing anyway. o/ Tarafishes 13:32, 23 September 2012 (EST)

I've more-or-less finished fine-tuning the layout for the page for Season 1. For reception I've focused on sales (which I haven't been able to find any data on for stuff released outside Japan). And I feel like the episode descriptions would need some revisions later on anyway. -FH14 07:42, 4 October 2012 (EST)

I've converted the second season list to the new layout, and I was wondering which grouping people preferred for the Compilation/Extra Episodes. (Personally I'm partial to having a separate heading on the page itself, and using the green connector when its collapsed into a list on the main episode page). -FH14 08:08, 8 October 2012 (EST)
Hey! You've been busy! :D I like what I see so far. I like both looks but for some reason I prefer the compilation episodes separate from the list. I think it might be more likely to grab the reader's attention rather it being mixed with the main list and going amiss (even with the green banner). Sorry for the short reply but I gotta run! Icelilly 12:59, 8 October 2012 (EST)

I added a makeshift DVD releases section because I'm a crazy person who doesn't know when to stop. What do you guys think? Is it too much template-on-template? :/ -FH14 10:27, 9 October 2012 (EST)

I like it actually! I was thinking we could do something like this though I wasn't sure where we could of put it. I think it's perfect and a great edition to the wiki! \o/ Icelilly 12:55, 9 October 2012 (EST)

Do you think the pages are ready to go live? -FH14 19:43, 21 October 2012 (EST)

These are really amazing, I don't think I've said that before. I'd say so, yeah!! Tarafishes 02:23, 22 October 2012 (EST)
These are amazing! I can't thank you enough for these pages. Yes, you can roll them out if you wish! :D /ollies away Icelilly 04:27, 22 October 2012 (EST)

A skin comparison; Monobook on the left, Vector on the right.

To celebrate the upcoming fifth season, I made a new logo for the wiki (our current one is getting kind of old as it's almost as old as the wiki is). Originally I wanted to keep the shadows but removing the wings was tougher than I thought and it became somewhat of a nightmare so I got rid of it all together. The wings are gone because of the size restrictions and background colours (it's not going to be shown on the Monaco and Vector skins so I don't see why it should be kept). I tried to use a font that was similar to the logo but I'm not entirely sure if I succeeded or not. I did a quick comparison between Monobook and Vector and it works best on Monobook and (to a certain degree) Monaco while it doesn't really look that great with Vector. I forgot to take a snapshot of what it looked like under Monaco so I kept the shot of the logo under the white background from the Upload page.

Your thoughts? I noticed there's some white missing on the last character and I can fix that if you guys approve it. I apologize if it sucks. There's a reason why my buddy Red does the graphics and not me. OTL Icelilly 12:41, 30 September 2012 (EST)

It looks good, but I feel like the white outlines on the Red/kanji part should be thinner. (Maybe closer to what the width is on the current logo?) And while the font looks similar, it might even be worth consulting with someone whose knowledgeable about fonts to get a more accurate match? -FH14 13:10, 30 September 2012 (EST)
I agree, especially about the lines. That or they need to be. . .rounder? Softer? They look a bit pixelated. As for the font, maybe one of these would look a bit more similar? If you have access to them, that is. . . . But I'm not very knowledge about fonts, I just went through a few of my fonts(I stopped at about K, though I could go through more,) looking for something kind of useful. . .they're all taller than the font for the original logo, though.  :|a Also I bolded a lot of(or all of, I can't remember) these, so if the thickness is the problem it might be able to be undone. Tarafishes 14:00, 30 September 2012 (EST)
A logo comparision.

Okay I'm back with an update! I've been playing around with Photoshop and I've got two different logos to show you. One has the glow around the image. The other has a glow and an additional shadow. I find the added shadow brings it out more from the BG compared to the other. Let me know what you guys think. Icelilly (talk) 16:19, 30 July 2013 (CDT)

I love the logo on the bottom! You get the thumbs up from me. -FH14 (talk) 16:28, 30 July 2013 (CDT)

Redirection

I've completed the move for the Chibisan Date Wiki (now here). For the old location I did this manually. What do you guys think? -FH14 (talk) 02:50, 13 November 2012 (CST)

That works for me! A complete redirection would be too confusing since the pages look alike, at least here, so just a noticable notice works perfectly. But should we put one on every page and leave information up, just not update? I could keep monitoring the wikinet to make sure no one takes the redirection notices down. Tarafishes (talk) 03:06, 13 November 2012 (CST)

I like it! I don't think we have to worry about the notices being taken down unless it's by trolls in which I can protect the pages for staff only as a precaution. The previous owner pretty much left us to own devices and the current owners are barely around so I don't think we'll run into that problem we had with Wikia. Worst-case scenario we could submit a deletion request but with the staff unactive and requests going as far back as July or August, it will probably be ignored. As much as it's a long and tedious process, we can remove the info and put the banner on all the pages so it won't break any links that people have used over the last year. If anything, it might help increase our traffic over here instead of having people using the Wikinet location. I can help out Tara too in monitoring the old wiki. Icelilly (talk) 09:43, 13 November 2012 (CST)

"index.gz"

Is anyone else being forced to download a compressed/zipped file/folder named "index.gz" while browsing here and there or just doing anything here? Or is it just me? Should I try clearing my cookies and all that or is it an everyone-problem? I'll just click a link(or, earlier, try and upload a file) and it will stop loading and I'll be downloading it suddenly and I don't understand. Though it may just be a "the site's kind of busy/working on something" error like when the pages don't load right or the background is the plain white one instead of the green and white swirls. Tarafishes (talk) 12:32, 13 November 2012 (CST)

I've been working on the site since 10:30 EST this morning and I haven't run into that problem. Try clearing out your cookies. I admit the site has been a little slow but I think it's just because we've doing so much importing and uploading. Or it just could be my crazy internet once again! Icelilly (talk) 12:39, 13 November 2012 (CST)
Google-fu has yielded this. Am I correct in assuming you use Chrome as your internet browser? -FH14 (talk) 02:40, 15 November 2012 (CST)
Yeah, I use Chrome. orz It's not a big deal, so you don't have to disable anything if you don't want, but it's a bit annoying. Tarafishes (talk) 02:48, 15 November 2012 (CST)

The Move

I was wondering if the move was about done, do you think? Should I start changing the links on the main comm to the main page here, or should I wait? Or is it a "never too soon" thing? Tarafishes (talk) 16:12, 17 November 2012 (CST)

We're just about done I think. We just need to do one last sweep of the Media section to make sure everything is up to date (since everything wasn't when I did the initial dump). If you want to do all the other sections except those I think that would be fine. I'll build a template while we wait of Icelilly to weigh in. -FH14 (talk) 16:29, 17 November 2012 (CST)
Yeah, there's not much left to do. I'm about half way through the media section and the fanon section was finished yesterday. The rest appears to be okay and the edits to the media pages are really minor so I have no problems if the links get changed now. Have we decided yet on what we're going to do with the content on Wikinet? Icelilly (talk) 16:56, 17 November 2012 (CST)
I thought we were going to do what I did over at the Chibisan Date wiki? Like, it's good to preserve the old edits (especially since not everything transferred) but keeping the pages themselves up there kind of defeats the purpose of moving and just creates another wikia situation. :/ -FH14 (talk) 17:19, 17 November 2012 (CST)
Ah okay, I was only double-checking. After everything is finished, I'll protect the pages and bump you and Tara to admin status to keep things under control over at Wikinet. Icelilly (talk) 17:38, 17 November 2012 (CST)
EDIT: Media section is finished. Also, both you and Tara now have admin rights at the Wikinet location to deal with spammers and trolls. Icelilly (talk) 18:51, 17 November 2012 (CST)

Project: Carbon Dating

So basically I have been mulling over this idea for a few months about revamping the manga section of the wiki, specifically splitting up List of unpublished Hetalia: Axis Powers strips by year into separate pages, and re-including strips that were removed from this section because they were reprinted or redrawn in a tankōbon. Obviously this won't be an easy task since Himaruya doesn't date his comics and the site was revamped in 2008, but I feel like this will make it easier to organize and navigate that section, and everyone's been diving into the old logs for other projects anyway so we've got a feel for where to start looking.

I've already tried using Google's cache to get a list but it's been a major bust, what with inconsistent dating and not all the pages being archived. (And obviously the "unpublished" title would be changed to something else.)

What does everyone think? -FH14 (talk) 19:33, 28 November 2012 (CST)

I think a revamp would make it a bit cleaner, so I wouldn't mind if there was one, but I'm not sure how the old logs would really help? Then again, most of the strips and events are linked on a blog post of some sort, so maybe it wouldn't be too tricky to at least have it ordered by years. . . .
I dunno. I might not be able to help as much as I'd like for a bit(like, until the 13th, 15th,) but I'll try? I'm not sure how to offer my assistance, tbh, but just let me know what I can do, I guess. . . !
And I feel like I'm misunderstanding something one way or another so let me know if I'm doing that, too. orz Tarafishes (talk) 21:15, 28 November 2012 (CST)
I definitely agree that a revamp is in order. I think the old logs might help for some comics, for example "The Battle for America" strips were advertised in one of the '08 logs and chapter 5 of the webcomic was advertised in one of the working '07 logs. As much as the page was revamped in '08, the comics might still be in order? (Or at least it appears that way?) If not, it might be possible to find an old copy of the page through archives. I'm not working tomorrow so I'll see if I can come up with something. Icelilly (talk) 15:39, 29 November 2012 (CST)
EDIT: Just starting to do some digging through the archives and the Archive.org earliest logs on the page go back to June 7, 2008. Megalodon.jp goes goes a little further back (but not by much) with the earliest date being April 14, 2008. Does this help in anyway? Icelilly (talk) 18:54, 29 November 2012 (CST)

Page creation

I've changed the coding so that you have to have a registered account with a confirmed email address in order to create a page on this wiki (talk pages can still be created by anyone, even anons). On the registration screen it still says that an email address is optional but I'm not sure how to change that. Hopefully this will help cut down on some of the spam we've been inundated with the past few weeks. -FH14 (talk) 16:41, 6 December 2012 (CST)

Sounds good. I think that's just embedded in the software but the error should probably pop up when a registered user tries to create a page with a unconfirmed address. I'm getting things ready for dinner right now but once I'm finished I'll let people know on Tumblr. I'll also double-check and see if I can change something through System Messages to fix the wording on the registration page. Icelilly (talk) 16:54, 6 December 2012 (CST)

Episode page cleanup

On the pages for the first five episodes I've cleaned up the opening sentence into a new format, and I've added an Ending theme field on the episode template. My goal is to also add a "dub changes"-like section like what is currently up on the page for Episode 12. Thoughts/Suggestions? -FH14 (talk) 17:59, 1 January 2013 (CST)

Yep! I like all the ideas! Those pages need some TLC since they haven't really been updated all that much since they were basically created. Icelilly (talk) 21:40, 1 January 2013 (CST)

FAQ

I'm working on revamping and fixing the policy pages and I created an FAQ for common questions. Thoughts? Anything I missed? Icelilly (talk) 20:19, 30 January 2013 (CST)

UHM

SOMETHING HAPPENED TO THE TEMPLATES I can't figure out how to fix it!? It looks like it's affecting all of them--go to a character page and scroll to the bottom and the list of characters that's usually at the bottom is broken--I noticed it on the US dub voicework template, too, but I don't know how it happened or how to fix it? @A@ I tried checking the templates themselves, but they look fine. . . . Tarafishes (talk) 17:50, 1 February 2013 (CST)

Scratch that, icelilly fixed it while I was freaking out haha. orz Tarafishes (talk) 17:51, 1 February 2013 (CST)
One of the spambots attacked an important part of coding that's used for most of the templates and it wasn't under any protection. That's why all the templates started glitching! I just wish we could deal with these spambots. None of the spam measures have worked and they just fly by the system. I honestly have no clue what to do. D: Icelilly (talk) 18:01, 1 February 2013 (CST)
I'd rather avoid having sign-ups necessary to edit pages(and they'd have to be manually approved anyway, because there are plenty of spambots making accounts. . .) but it's looking like we should try that. . . . I think I said something about this before but this site has an anti-spam measure that's just a checkbox that asks you to tick it to confirm you aren't a bot--before that, it had a bit of a bot problem, and there haven't been any bots since it was implemented.  :|a Apparently bots can't check boxes or something Is there any way we could have something like that put in if you try and edit a page(and if you don't check it, it takes you to a page that says to tick it if you aren't a bot or something?) Otherwise, I really don't know. . . . orz Tarafishes (talk) 19:17, 1 February 2013 (CST)
A checkbox is a really neat idea! Unfortunately I wasn't able to find any anti-spam extensions that do something like that. There are a couple of other CAPTCHA extensions that are much stronger than ConfirmEdit like KeyCAPTCHA (in that one you have to form a picture by dragging the puzzle pieces together) but whether or not it will work is an entirely different question. I really hope it doesn't come to that scenario like you said because we heavily rely on anonymous contributors compared to other wikis. D: Icelilly (talk) 19:59, 1 February 2013 (CST)

Families

Sorry if this is a dumb question or not where I should post this, but is there a page for the families within Hetalia and if not could someone create one? Thanks and again sorry if this isn't correct, I'm literally brand new here... 174.20.132.234 22:32, 10 February 2013 (CST)

This is the closest we have that I'm aware of. I wonder if such a page would be necessary? What sort of things would we put on it. . . ? There are enough families and such things in Hetalia, so if there were enough things to be put on it, I think we could work out making a page. 71.251.38.55 23:20, 10 February 2013 (CST)
(also that was me^ is there something I should do if I make a reply unlogged in like that? Tarafishes (talk) 23:23, 10 February 2013 (CST))
Maybe just more in-depth to include their relationships together? Although that leads out of just the family aspect of it... I dunno it was just a though I had. 174.20.145.99 18:12, 11 February 2013 (CST)

RE: Edit Option for Hetalia Archives' Community Portal and Uploading Files

First, I would like to provide the correct link to adding a new thread to the Hetalia Archives Community Portal. Here it is: Hetalia Archives Community Portal - Create New Section

Second, I have tried many times to upload two screen caps, one for Romania, the other for New Zealand. However, I get the error message "You do not have permission to create new pages." When I go to the destination filename, I've tried once without the file extension and once with it, but no such luck. I noted that both images are copyrighted and would be considered fair use under U.S. law.

Question is, does my account have limitations on uploading images? Buspirtraz (talk) 03:26, 1 June 2013 (CDT)

I tinkered with the wiki's settings so hopefully normal users should now have the capability to create pages and upload images. (I meant to fix that a while back whoops). If you have any additional problems with this please let me know! -FH14 (talk) 20:11, 1 June 2013 (CDT)

Main Page Character Bar

I tinkered with a possible new look for the character bar using some new merch pictures that were released on Animate. Thoughts? -FH14 (talk) 23:44, 28 July 2013 (CDT)

I love it! It adds a splash of colour to the main page and I think it's a great upgrade from what we had before. You get the thumbs up from me! Icelilly (talk) 10:29, 29 July 2013 (CDT)

Regarding JapanFlag.png

Since JapanFlag.png was making the site run slowly, do we have any plans for how to fix it? Maybe have stuff like JapanFlag1.png, JapanFlag2.png ect. and link different profiles to different flags equally, or would that not fix anything? Or maybe I could go through the Japanese profiles and get rid of the red 'JapanFlag.png' and act like it never happened xD? Konna (talk) 21:21, 10 October 2015 (CDT)

Well, we still have a Wikimedia Japan flag, and that can be found on Japan's page. If I remember, that file was deleted because it wasn't needed anymore, so adding multiple files will just reverse that reason. While I come to it, I think that flag was a reason why hometowns were listed by (for example) "Hiroshima" as opposed to "Hiroshima, Japan." Although, I know the newer pages like Yōko Hikasa's don't have the flag on it. I would wait for the admin to say what to do. ChikyuuRondo (talk) 22:56, 3 October 2015 (CDT)
Hey, sorry it took so long to respond to this! (my 9-5 job has been kicking my ass the last week or so). I would go with the wikimedia japan flag for now, as it doesn't seem to put the same stress on our server that the old file did. I would've made the changeover myself but it must have slipped my mind. Apologies. -(Crappy Admin) FH14 (talk) 15:16, 9 October 2015 (CDT)

On Updating the Main Character Bar on the Main Page

It's not that I don't like it, but it has been the same for two years. I was thinking that spirit of the 6th season we should revert back to something similar to what we had back in 2012, although with updated pictures. If y'all want, I can surf around for some good pictures, or even create a few fully-fledged templates so we can customize them to our liking. But, I don't want to start doing that until one of the admin okays it, so in the mean time I'll surf back through the characters, confirming info. Konna (talk) 21:38, 6 October 2015 (CDT)

You have the okay from me, though I'm not really sure what you mean by templates since the character row is constructed with a template if memory serves? (Also, I would use your sandbox while mocking it up). And I think this goes without saying but I guess I should throw it out there anyway - no fanart, official art only. -FH14 (talk) 15:16, 9 October 2015 (CDT)
