So, I'll be Romanizing here!

Seborga --> Seboruga Watermint 17:52, August 13, 2010 (UTC)

TRNC --> 北キプロス・トルコ共和国 --> Kita Kipurosu Toruko Kyōwakoku (note: simplified version - きたキプロス・トルコきょうわこ)

Monaco --> モナコ --> Monako

As far as Kokolo goes:

ココロ --> Kokoro

Though I'm not sure about the specific strip, Australia appears in volume 3's World Map, which predates his omake appearance. Watermint 21:29, August 13, 2010 (UTC)

Here are some more!

Bulgaria --> ブルガリア--> Burugaria

Tibet --> チベット --> Chibetto

Also, for future reference, Australia's first appearance in a published volume was in 3. He appears in the Hetalia world map, which also predates the micronation omake. Watermint 22:47, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

Saxony --> ザクセン --> Zakusen Watermint 15:14, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

Botswana --> ボツワナ --> Botsuwana

Ghana --> ガーナ --> Gāna

Kenya --> ケニア --> Kenia

I bet you all thought I died or something, didn't you? Ha, but, anyway, I'm still here--just caught up in classes. By the way, maybe TRNC is ready for his own article? It's about the same size as Seborga's and Hong Kong's now. Watermint 15:16, October 16, 2010 (UTC)

Putting in my vote for TRNC here. I think it's possible, even if the little guy's yet to really do anything in the comics (Cyprus on the other hand...). Ah, I was wondering what had happened, but I understand how classes can be. It gets even busier with some college courses! Let's see what Lilly and FH14 think about TRNC. Ceras SanMarina 15:28, October 16, 2010 (UTC)
I'll go with whatever the majority decides on this one. I agree that the article is long enough but for some reason I'm on the fence. *shrugs* (welcome back Watermint! xD) FH14 18:14, October 16, 2010 (UTC)

Excellent job so far!

These look like great templates, and we could probably take a bit of inspiration from them for the existing profiles (for the streamlining process). Great work! Ceras SanMarina 21:38, August 13, 2010 (UTC)

Criteria for when separate pages are ready

Okay, so the profiles for Wy and Monaco look like they may be ready for separate pages to me, but I have no criteria to evaluate them on other than comparing them to existing pages, and they both seem to be about the same length/amount of content as the pages for Taiwan and Hong Kong. What are everyone's thoughts? FH14 06:46, September 19, 2010 (UTC)

I think they look great : ) Both profiles are consistent with the other ones in the site; whenever you feel they're ready, you should release them. Though I hope you won't mind if I go back later and do minor grammatical/syntax edits (I'm a nerd haha) Average Exception 16:06, September 19, 2010 (UTC)
Not at all! Believe me, there is always room for improvement. FH14 20:42, September 19, 2010 (UTC)
I think they both look ready--possibly Seborga as well. You've done a great job :) Watermint 18:23, September 19, 2010 (UTC)
I agree that those guys look about ready now (also, hi Mint! :D ). I think Seborga's worthy enough too, he's gotten an official profile and at least a little bit of info to go on. Meanwhile, poor Hong Kong and Taiwan still have yet to get their spotlight but we shall see! You've really done a nice job with the sandbox profiles here and with the sandbox work at the Kita-wiki, it's nice to have you around and coming up with these new ideas too. Speaking of general profiles, I keep wanting to get in and do revamping but school and laziness, aagh. Ceras SanMarina 20:23, September 19, 2010 (UTC)

New Zealand Image..

I want to respect boundaries and not edit your sandbox without permission...So, I'll just leave this new NZ image here Watermint

No, please feel free to edit the sandbox! The more help the better! ^_^ -FH14 22:57, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
Thank you! On a not-really-related note, I've noticed that Seborga's flag seems to blend the blue with the white to the extent where the white isn't very visible. Would it be possible to replace it with this [1]? (I just took the flag already here and accentuated the white more...) Watermint 01:23, 8 January 2011 (UTC)
Would it be problematic? Watermint 05:22, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
I thought I responded to this already -_-'. /stcks head in DERP jar. That would be great actually. -FH14 05:27, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
It's fine XD I actually had no idea how to respond without sounding like I was rude, thus my 2 week wait. But, cool, I'll change it! Watermint 22:08, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

Many A Prop But

Many a prop to thee, my friend, because this is really awesome, buuut question:
Picardy's "name" is Shujinko, apparently. But he's a nameable protagonist. Though it's of note to know that "Shujinkō" (主人公) is Japanese for "Hero" or "Protagonist". Keeping that in mind, should we really assume his name is Shujinko? I mean, I haven't played a lot of games where the default name is Hero, but then Shujinko has been used as a name before. So...should we really say his name is "Shujinko"?
More just a thought/note.
~ FangzV ( Flame at me here) as said on 00:57, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

Thanks! I didn't know Shujinko was Japanese for Hero/Protagonist, and taking into that account it becomes questionable whether that is really his name. (I took "Shujinko" from the game itself, it was the name attributed to him in the speech bubbles) -FH14 01:20, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

Bulgaria?

Though it could still use more information, considering all that is available on the character...Do you think what I've added may be able to push him into his own article? It is about the same size as Wy's and Seborga's at this point. The trivia I'm still wondering about, though. The first point is fine and I remember the second point being mentioned in a blog entry with France's sailor suit, but does the third seem like too much of a stretch? Also, this may be a difference in monitors, but it looks like Bulgaria's hair is more dark brown than black. (And all fanart I've found depicts him with brown hair, not that that means much.) So...thoughts on any of this?

This is off topic, but I'd like to replace some images on main articles. I'm thinking about ordering the new art book, so it may work out. Not characters like Germany or Italy, but ones like that lack colors or are out date. For example: Prussia's outline is nice, but I'd really like to get him in color XD I understand that it's mostly availability issues, but the artwork may have some nice, clean images of them in their military outfits (of course I wont go for them in random outfits). S. Korea will probably be the toughest... Watermint 21:14, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

I'm not sure about the length TBH (then again I tend to hesitant when it comes to graduating characters to their own articles. It might be worth going over again to make sure info isn't repeated a lot. After that we'll probably have a better idea how to proceed. The third bullet point seems like a bit of a stretch though, and it might be best if it were removed as its theory. I have the Hetalia DVD, so I'll look at the HQ image and see what hair color he has, because I honestly can't tell.
As for the updated images - DEAR GOD YES. Please, be my guest. Though in regards to the military outfits some of the characters I don't recall ever really appearing in them (Korea and Seychelles come to mind). -FH14 22:34, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
File:BulgariaAnime.png
Does Bulgaria have Brown or Black hair?
I uploaded a HQ version of Bulgaria's anime appearance. I can't tell if his hair is supposed to be a soft black or a dark brown -_-' -FH14 22:48, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Bullet point removed. The information repeated in Bulgaria's bit seems to be him attacking Italy with a stick as it's his only appearance besides a non-speaking cameo (in which he didn't even physically appear). This may be fixable to some degree. For instance, go more in-depth where appropriate and generalize when appropriate. I can't tell from that image either DX Huh. Maybe we should ask for others' opinions as well?
Speaking of theories, eventually some of us should sweep the non-fanon articles and pick out all of the theories and original research. I've removed a few instances before, but some may still remain. That, and finally create a human name page. Though Himaruya updated with those human names, I don't think it's very clear from some of the articles that they were fan-suggested (and he did make that later note that people could choose what they wanted).
If a character lacks a military outfit, then I'll go to casual wear. Unless they have a suitable image already that may not be that incredibly high in quality, but is still a better representation of the character. Thanks for the thoughts! Watermint 22:55, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for bringing this topic up! I've been meaning to sweep out the fanon additions, theories, and the like, but I've been busy, and also a bit drained of motivation. I've really been pushing for cleanup on the profiles, and I've been meaning to clean up that Rumor Guide and the Fan Term Guide (but the motivation slump and being held up with classes would mean I'd need help there too DX). I do agree now that the "most popular" names probably weren't even real thoughts for human names too, I think even though he only clarified the Nyotalia ones, that he'd rather have fans get creative on their own. He used to be more free and talkative back in '06/07, nowadays you're lucky if he has time to answer a question! Bulgaria's hair color confused me too. I thought it was brown at first, but Pixiv artists and general fanartists seem to be torn between dark brown and jet black for him. Not sure what color eyes he'd have either, I'm hoping for brown. There is old an image of South Korea in uniform but it's of him with Japan (and strangely looking set in WWII, so was Himaruya really considering the "Koreas=twins" thing from the start when he settled on Korea's gender? Unless one of them in his headcanon was Joseon and then they split into twins...). Good luck on ordering the art book, Mint! I know someone else that's done so. They're excited for what it might contain too. Black-Noto 00:04, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Why must there be problems concerning one of the most minor characters in the series? XD With most others, all we would need to do is wait for him to post a colored sketch. With Bulgaria...Who knows? It might not even be entirely correct, considering Deen's track record. Currently, I want to focus on cleaning character articles. It's difficult because they are still going to be undergoing renovations and most need clean-up past removing theories. It seems like Himaruya may be done with human names for awhile. Perhaps he rather just have the fandom create names themselves (with odd turn-outs; isn't femItaly's fan-name Daisy?). I'll keep trying, though. Motivation comes in spurts. I'm also excited for the art book. It's a bit expensive, but I think it will be worth it. Maybe he'll even include some minor character. (I did gain some hope when he mentioned liking Bulgaria's military uniform.) Watermint 01:53, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Australia?

Australia is reaching that stage where it's almost (or is) ready to attain single-article status. Currently, it's about as long as Romania's. When should we convert? Also, was the ahoge being a reference to Austria's similar spelling officially confirmed? Seems like a stretch if it never was. And what should become of Cameroon, New Zealand, and India? Cameroon's looks nice, but he has no relationships with other characters. Of course, Vietnam doesn't have one, either. NZ is in the same states of Australia (the character was confirmed male?). India, despite being incredibly new, is looking fine so far; just needs the attribute sections fleshed out. I'm sure we'll be getting some info soon after the Halloween event. So...thoughts? Watermint 14:49, 6 November 2011 (EST)

With India I'm sure we'll get some info after the Halloween event so I'd wait on that one. As far as Australia and New Zealand the information is a bit outdated in places and I feel like we may have missed stuff in the time the wiki's been gone. :/ No idea if the ahoge thing is right or not TBH. Cameroon looks pretty good but still a bit borderline for me, relationships or not it just doesn't feel quite long enough yet. If it was just a little longer I'd say it was ready.-FH14 15:09, 6 November 2011 (EST)
I'll start going through archives for NZ and Australia. I think there have been some random tidbits since Shout went down, so that might boost them up. I never meant to imply India was ready now; I think we should definitely wait until Himaruya provides us with some more info. Cameroon is tough. Despite the fact that he appears periodically (more than Romania, Bulgaria, and some others at this point), he doesn't really do too much and was never implemented into the anime. Maybe I'll root up something while searching for NZ and Australia stuff. Do you know where the ahoge thing originated? It just seems so...strange. Watermint 16:05, 6 November 2011 (EST)
I hope you guys don't mind me butting in but is there anything in here you guys can use? http://fairdinkumbamf.livejournal.com/47342.html Icelilly 16:22, 6 November 2011 (EST)
Oh I've actually been looking for that! Thanks Lilly! :D And Mint I think Bella/Black-Noto/Wisnia might know. The info on Austria's mole is another one that's a bit iffy. :/ -FH14 17:05, 6 November 2011 (EST)
You're welcome! Here are the links for the Asians (minus Japan, Korea, China and Macau) and the Nordics and Soviets (minus Russia but has Poland). http://hetalia.livejournal.com/11140642.html http://const-victoria.livejournal.com/17132.html Icelilly 17:20, 6 November 2011 (EST)
Do you mean the erogenous zone line? Yeah, I haven't heard that one before. You'd think it'd spread pretty quickly. I'll ask Bella via Twitter. (Thanks, Lilly!) Watermint 17:33, 6 November 2011 (EST)
You're welcome guys! As far as I know, those are the only ones translated. I heard Cameroon's was translated but I have no clue where that is. No status on the other nations either though someone did say that Italy's unchanged. Icelilly 17:49, 6 November 2011 (EST)

I think Cameroon may be ready. What do you guys think? -FH14 15:34, 11 November 2011 (EST)

I think Cameroon, Australia and New Zealand are all ready to go. They're all roughly the same length. Icelilly 15:43, 11 November 2011 (EST)
Australia and New Zealand still need a bit of work/fact checking (per above). But yeah once that's done if they're still long enough. :/ -FH14 18:17, 11 November 2011 (EST)
Bella says the ahoge thing was just fanon and that the Austria mole thing was very old trivia. So the Australia part was removed and the Austria part can stay, though perhaps should be moved to "trivia" and should be noted that the information is old. Also, I think NZ is still androgynous, so should probably be referred to as "they" still. Watermint 04:28, 12 November 2011 (EST)
Also, I was wondering: when characters get articles, can they automatically be upgraded to "supporting character" instead of "minor character"? Just for consistency, and because we assume that, when a character has an article, it has enough information to warrant it (unlike the characters on the minor list). Watermint 11:57, 12 November 2011 (EST)

Reopening this up for discussion. What do you guys think? Is her ready for his own page? :/ -FH14 16:24, 13 February 2012 (EST)

I think so. It's roughly the same size as some of the other Micronation articles. You get the go ahead from me! Icelilly 17:53, 13 February 2012 (EST)

Molossia

I think Molossia may be ready. It's about the same length as Vietnam and Cameroon. What do you guys think? -FH14 12:35, 25 November 2011 (EST)

You get a thumbs up from me! Icelilly 12:44, 25 November 2011 (EST)

Australia chibi?

Australia will probably have his own article in the near future, but is there a better chibi we could use? I know there was an Australia chibi on the back of volume 4... Watermint 14:51, 29 December 2011 (EST)

It's here but it's not very big link. And yeah his mockup is looking pretty good right now (same with Kugelmugel too. Methinks they may even get articles before the event is over.) -FH14 15:23, 29 December 2011 (EST)
It's of a better quality than the ones I have found! So, I guess it's either the smaller color one or the sketch. What do you think? I'm happy that those two are progressing so well! Also, New Zealand looks nice, but I think we should wait until s/he has an official gender. I was hoping that the character would be wearing a bathing suit during the Christmas barbecue, but no such luck. Watermint 15:34, 29 December 2011 (EST)
If that is New Zealand in the Sheep costume (I think it is) methinks their gender will be revealed in the next strip or in the ensuing conversation between the Axis and company. I'd need to see the Australia chibi cropped out of the image to know for sure which one I'd prefer TBH. -FH14 15:39, 29 December 2011 (EST)
Hopefully! We've waited so long. Here is cropped Australia. I'll have to work on changing the dimensions more, but here is one It gets a bit blurry, though. Watermint 15:55, 29 December 2011 (EST)
Hmm, IDK I'm on the fence. Maybe others could weigh in if they're around? And what do you personally think? -FH14 16:19, 29 December 2011 (EST)
I'm on the fence as well. I like the Australia chibi since it's cleaned up and coloured but it's still small. The bigger one is pretty blurry so I don't think it could be used. Icelilly 05:33, 30 December 2011 (EST)

I'm also on the fence. I do like the small one the most, but, obviously, it is pretty small. Though it should be noted that it's about the size of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus chibi. Watermint 05:36, 30 December 2011 (EST)

You do have a point Mint! The chibi on his page is indeed pretty small compared to the others. Maybe should go for it? If we don't like it we can always change it in the future. Icelilly 08:18, 30 December 2011 (EST)
Yeah. I have a feeling we'll eventually get a colored chibi. Hima randomly produces them all the time. Watermint 10:07, 30 December 2011 (EST)

Kugelmugel

With this last update, I think Kugelmugel is ready to get his own page. What do you guys think? -FH14 05:26, 8 January 2012 (EST)

You get the okay from me! Icelilly 07:22, 8 January 2012 (EST)
I agree. Go ahead! Watermint 03:13, 11 January 2012 (EST)

India

Do you think India might be ready for his own page? His entry appears to be roughly the same size as that of Molossia. Also, sorry about my going on ahead and making the page for him on my own earlier, I'm kind of new to wikis in general. Also, if any new mock-up articles end up being worked on, I'd be glad to help with the Japanese names of the countries in question. RayquazaMaster 20:00, 20 April 2012 (ET)

No problem. The creation of new character pages should generally be decided by group concensus, (though Icelilly is usually the deciding factor). I am starting work on a possible new layout on one of my sandboxes that does need country name translations actually! With India the sections for Appearances, Relationships, and Trivia are certainly long enough. The main problem though is that both Attributes sections contain almost nothing, and that tends to be the most important part of the page. -FH14 10:28, 21 April 2012 (EST)
That shouldn't be too difficult. I'm sure that the Appearance part of the Attributes section could easily be expanded upon, perhaps with a mention of his Iggy Brows and a description of the clothes that he's worn in Lithuania's dream and in his appearance. In his Personality and Interests section, something could easily be mentioned of his boasting of good relationships with Russia, as well as perhaps his apparent love for Bollywood and dramatic entrances. Oh, you are? What countries are you doing? RayquazaMaster 21:29, 20 April 2012 (ET)
The new layout is for the character list pages, and can be seen here -FH14 11:38, 21 April 2012 (EST)
Okay, no problem! Albania would be アルバニア (Arubania), Croatia would be クロアチア (Kuroachia), Czechia would be チェコ (Cheko), Slovakia would be スロバキア (Surobakia), Ireland would be アイルランド (Airurando), Moldova would be モルドバ (Morudoba), Northern Ireland would be 北部アイルランド (Hokubu Airurando), Wales would be ウェールズ (Wēruzu), Scotland would be スコットランド (Sukottorando), Vatican City would beバチカン市国 (Bachikan Shikoku) or just バチカン (Bachikan), Bengal would be ベンガル (Bengaru), North Korea would be 北朝鮮 (Kita Chōsen), Pakistan would be パキスタン (Pakisutan), Singapore would be シンガポール (Shingapōru), and United Arab Emirates would be アラブ首長国連邦 (Arabu Shuchōkoku Renpō). Hope that helps! RayquazaMaster 22:39, 20 April 2012 (ET)
Oh, I never gave you Portugal! That would be ポルトガル (Porutogaru). RayquazaMaster 13:58, 22 April 2012

I think India might be ready now. What do you guys think? -FH14 10:22, 18 June 2012 (EST)

You get the okay from me! His article looks roughly the size of Kugelmugel. Icelilly 11:42, 18 June 2012 (EST)

Saxony

Any chance that if the Appearances section of his article were added to, we might be able to give Saxony his own article? Just wondering, the Attributes and Trivia sections are looking excellent, but the Appearances section is looking extremely bare and thus detracting from the mock-up. -RayquazaMaster 19:46, 21 June 2012 (ET)

New Zealand

Hi there, I have a reference link for New Zealand's uniform [2] where it clearly shows the NZ Army Band uniforms and how they look, and I'll also add it to the mock-up. Do you think NZ might be about ready for their own page? The article does seem to have a decent length now. Jencatd 16:44, 15 November 2012 (EST)

Maybe. The Gender issue is still ambiguous which is is why NZ hasn't gotten a page yet (well, that combined with my laziness in building it). We're actually in the process of moving all our articles to this location as our host here has proven themselves to be... less than reliable? I would encourage you to register an account there where we can continue our discussion on this (as its long overdue). -FH14 17:49, 15 November 2012 (EST)

I made the article gender neutral. What do you guys think? :/ -FH14 (talk) 14:06, 15 November 2012 (CST)

Looks good to me! (Sorry for the late response. Internet is very sporadic atm) Icelilly (talk) 15:08, 15 November 2012 (CST)
Looks great to me! As for the gender thing I don't think Himaruya's going to confirm or deny any time soon. He's trolling the hell out of the fandom with that one detail. Jencatd (talk) 16:06, 15 November 2012 (CST)
I think it could be moved to it's own page now, yeah! o7 The ambiguity is just part of their character, so I don't see why they shouldn't have a page because of it. Tarafishes (talk) 16:19, 15 November 2012 (CST)
Okay so that's four out of four. Commencing Page Creation. -FH14 (talk) 16:34, 15 November 2012 (CST)

Knights Templar

So, for the new character for the Knights Templar, how exactly would a section/page be made? Seeing as he isn't a country of any kind, I mean. Would he fall under historical characters? Or would we do an entry similar to the ones for the countries? Just wondering, since even though he's a very new character we already have information on basic personality traits and his relationship to Prussia/Teutonic Knights. RayquazaMaster 14:02, 19 January 2015 (ET)

I was going to ask this too. I think he has potential to be sorted as a separate page. He has little information, but enough to give us the basic info, a relationship, and personality. ChikyuuRondo (talk) 15:20, 19 January 2015 (CST)

Now that there's a mock-up for the Knights Templar, how is it looking so far? I'm hardly an expert at these sorts of things, but as far as I can tell we have all of the essential information for his personality and appearance, as well as his relationship to the Teutonic Knights, and in addition, we have some trivia. Is there more currently available information that we'll need before he can become a page? If not, how would he go about getting approval for a separate page? RayquazaMaster 19:11, 30 May 2015 (EDT)

Portugal

Portugal's entry is looking pretty decent, apart from the appearance and personality sections. Should we give him a page now, or wait until we can add more to those sections? RayquazaMaster 19:08, 28 May 2015 (EDT)

He might be okay for now honestly. Until he's put in more strips the Personality and Interests section is pretty short, since all of his interests for the moment seem to revolved around beating up Spain (orz) --FH14 (talk) 12:48, 29 May 2015 (CDT)

Nero

Hi, I'm new to the wiki and I was wondering what else was needed on the Nero article before he could get his own page, as he seems to have a similar amount of info to some of the other new pages? KingDen (talk) 12:32, 9 June 2015 (CDT)

Hesse name issues

I did a bit of research since this was bothering me for a little while, and I think that most likely it'd be best to change the Japanese name listed for Hesse on his mock-up from "ヘッセン州 (Hessen-shū)" to simply "ヘッセン (Hessen)". This is primarily because based on the research I did, the former specifically refers to the modern German state of Hesse, whereas the latter is used for both the modern state and its predecessor states of the same name, as well as the modern cultural region. I do think that the Wikipedia page that we link to is fine, however, since it's a page for both the modern cultural region and the state. Anyway, I just wanted to bring this to everyone's attention to see what people's thoughts were. RayquazaMaster 18:50, 13 July 2015 (EST)

Ancient Egypt

Does anyone else think Ancient Egypt is ready for her own page? It's about the same length as Kugelmugel and Persia. KingDen (talk) 06:39, 14 July 2015 (CDT)

Personally I'd have to agree. In fact there actually are a couple of entries I think are ready for page status. Not that I have any jurisdiction on that; just thought I'd state my agreement. RayquazaMaster 09:34, 14 July 2015 (EST)

Length-wise I'd agree, but I know there's a decent amount of information/citations about the character that are missing (it has basically everything from her actual appearances recently, but early notes dating back years is missing and/or not cited properly). Once that's added I think we can definitely pull the trigger on a page. -FH14 (talk) 09:49, 14 July 2015 (CDT)
Do you know where any of the missing notes are? I could only find one old blog post that had already been cited. KingDen (talk) 10:23, 14 July 2015 (CDT)
It would either be in his old blog notes or on bamboo thicket somewhere (or possibly attached to an old comic?) but I would need to sit down and actually comb through the site like I did with some of the others like Luxembourg and Portugal (though its harder because Egypt is also a thing so idek what kanji Himaruya would be using to refer to her. Is it 古代エジプト all the time? idek). Also, some of the stuff on the current mockup isn't cited yet. Once all that is taken care of we can move forward. -FH14 (talk) 14:57, 14 July 2015 (CDT)
Ah OK. I know that some of the stuff that isn't cited yet was from the jump sq spin off, and I couldn't cite it because I couldn't find the original, only a translation of it. KingDen (talk) 15:20, 14 July 2015 (CDT)
I can answer the kanji question! Based on the blog entries discussing her and the appearances she's made, it seems to me she's been referred to variably as Egypt (エジプト, Ejiputo), Ancient Egypt (古代エジプト, Kodai Ejiputo), and Mother Egypt (エジプト母, Ejiputo-kaa). RayquazaMaster 16:27, 14 July 2015 (EDT)
Yeah, I think her page would be all good once all that's cited. I had tried my best earlier to try and look for the character notes (if something's not cited properly that could have been my doing, sorry) Which sources are incorrect, and how do we cite the spinoff chapter? Guidelines?

Are there any official guidelines for how much information the templates need before they can officially become their own pages? If not might it be an idea to make some loose guidelines? This might also be useful for pages like Nero and Knights Templar, who have sufficient detail but aren't countries like the other characters. KingDen (talk) 17:37, 14 July 2015 (CDT)

Flags

Does anyone know what's going on with the majority of the flags? Or how to fix it? RayquazaMaster (talk 22:10, 29 July 2015 (EDT)

No idea. I guess maybe the link between wikimedia commons and the mediawiki software stopped working for some reason? I was gonna give them a day to either fix it or address it, and if nothing happens start uploading files here directly I guess. -FH14 (talk) 23:05, 29 July 2015 (CDT)
Do you know if any of the options to use the images got switched off after you upgraded? It's the only reason I can think of, though I could have sworn they were working on Tuesday. Google is failing me right now so I don't know if this is a problem among other wikis or if this is just us (or even if the two sites are aware of the problem). Hopefully this fixes on its own. Czech and Slovakia

While it's hardly my place to decide this, the entries for Czech and Slovakia seem to me to be fairly close to ready, if not completely ready. What do the rest of you think? Are the entries for them ready to become pages, or is a bit more information needed? RayquazaMaster (talk) 21:15, 17 August 2015 (EDT)

Yup! They look ready and they're both cited and everything. I'll make them pages now actually. (And thank you so much for beefing up Slovakia. Doing Czech's the other day was a long process orz. Now to tackle Ancient Egypt so hopefully we can get her page up soon.) -FH14 (talk) 09:59, 19 August 2015 (CDT)

Priorities

So, which of the mockups should we be prioritizing working on now, and what would be necessary to add? In my opinion Knights Templar would make the most sense to prioritize, since his mockup has a sizable amount of information already. On top of that there don't seem to be any other characters with mockups (besides maybe Nero) who have a lot of information revealed to date. What do the rest of you think? RayquazaMaster (talk) 16:31, 20 August 2015 (EDT)

Personally, I think that Knights Templar may be ready for it's own page. I know that he's not a nation but he's clearly like Prussia when he was the Knights Teutonic. Also, Nikoniko has his own page and he's no longer a nation. I also think that Nero's ready for his own page but the problem as far as I can see is how it would be sorted. But I don't know what sort of information a mockup needs before it's officially ready to be a page. KingDen (talk) 18:46, 20 August 2015 (CDT)

I would have to agree that I think Knights Templar is ready. Nero looks good too, but I feel like that it would be awkward just having Nero if he were to have his own article? Both of these characters are tricky to sort, especially the Roman Emperors. I would like to see places for characters like Tiberius and Claudius, though, Himaruya left a lot of information on the Roman Empire and I'd think it be great to see it all used. I'm assuming that's what the Roman Empire section in the mockups is for but I'm hesitant to touch and edit it. --ChikyuuRondo (talk) 00:07, 21 August 2015 (CDT)
I'm gonna play around a little more with the Ancient Roman stuff. I'm still not entirely happy with the formatting though I have a rough idea of how I'm gonna fix it. Also, at this point the Nero section would be too large not to give him a page, but instead of grouping him with the supporting characters on the template, he'd be grouped with the lists on the bottom in parenthesis next to the link for the other emperors page. That being said, he'd go up when both his section and the Emperors index page are both ready. -FH14 (talk) 20:30, 4 September 2015 (CDT)
Knights Templar might be ready, but I know for a fact that the Nero mockup is missing a lot of information. I still need to finish my sweep of sources for that and all the historical and Roman mockups, and would actually appreciate it if no one touched them until I find the time to finish (hoepfully this weekend). -FH14 (talk) 01:16, 21 August 2015 (CDT)

In terms of current priorities on this project, I think separating out Mongolia and Golden Horde/Ulus of Jochi into separate sections since they are actually different characters, and filling in/sourcing the sections for Hesse and Saxony. That being said, I highly doubt any of them would have enough info to get their own pages just yet. -FH14 (talk) 20:36, 4 September 2015 (CDT)

Requirements for new mockups

I was wondering, are there any sorts of requirements for which characters mockups can be added for? I was looking at the amount of information we have for a few minor characters who don't have mockups yet, and it's actually more so than for some of the characters who do. Specifically I was wondering about adding mockups for Ireland, Ethiopia, and possibly Mexico, since I was looking at the sandbox for the overhauled minor characters page. Though none of them have designs yet that we've seen, and of them only Ethiopia has appeared in anything at all, they seem to actually have more information available currently than, for example, Tibet. RayquazaMaster (talk)) 11:21, 5 September 2015 (EDT)

The requirement is that they need to have appeared at some point or be believed to have appeared at some point (which is how Northern Ireland, Wales, and Vatican City have mockups). None of the examples you listed, I believe, have appeared yet. -FH14 (talk) 00:42, 6 September 2015 (CDT)
So basically, I'm guessing that until there is an official debut or a new character, mockups aren't of importance at this time, unless the priorities above are worked on. For me, it might be time to find something else to do in the meantime. -ChikyuuRondo (talk) 01:38, 6 September 2015 (CDT)
