Plot Summary

Denmark calls out that they should start the Nordic Council meeting, and a stylized title appears next to him reading "Meeting of the Nordic". After the opening credits, Finland says that it is a nice day and good for a meeting. Denmark says that it's always sunny when he's here, which Norway finds annoying. Denmark declares that they should have an energetic meeting today, and cheerfully hits Sweden.

Nearby, Iceland wonders to himself why no one else has noticed that there's something strange about the meeting. First he notes that Estonia, a non-Nordic country, is there with them. Estonia's brought sweets from his place and encourages the others to try them, while throwing in a line about allowing him to join the Nordic group. Finland expresses his excitement and gratitude, and encourages the others to try them as well, as they're very good. Iceland notes that Finland has been won over by "this guy with glasses," and he looks over at Estonia who flashes him a sparkling smile, confusing him. Sweden puts his hand on Iceland's shoulder and asks him if there's something wrong. Iceland says that he's fine, but shares his observation that there is something strange about the meeting, pointing out that they aren't in a suitable location for one. Denmark excitedly breaks out the alcohol, saying that they can't start the meeting without it, which Iceland also makes note of as strange.

Norway notices Iceland staring, and tells him that he has a drink for him as well, holding up a Yoggi Yogurt drink and referring to himself as a capable big brother. Iceland makes note of Norway's unnecessary consideration, but then decides to ignore it because he always acts this way. Finland tells him not to worry, as he can drink if he is under guardian supervision at Denmark's house. Iceland insists that he's not a child, and notices that Finland would normally comment on all of this, but he appears the most into it. Finland says that there are a lot of alcohol and sweets, and if there was a sauna he'd be in heaven. Denmark says he's happy for him, and Iceland thinks that Finland is off in his own fantasy world.

Iceland asks Sweden if he can ask him a question, and points out that they normally have meetings solemnly indoors, which Sweden confirms. Iceland says that there are a lot of things strange about the meeting, and asks if Sweden agrees. Sweden does agree, and Iceland expresses relief that Sweden's normal too, but the feeling is short-lived when he sees that Sweden is wearing a party hat. He begins to wonder if he's the strange one here, as he lives far away from everyone else. However, his thoughts are interrupted when Denmark sets off a streamer and Finland holds out a cake, wishing him a happy birthday. Denmark explains that it's not actually a meeting, but a surprise birthday party for him. Iceland doesn't understand the concept of a "surprise party" though, and says that it isn't his birthday. Norway explains that it's actually the halfway point between their birthdays, and Iceland asks if that's something adult men would do.

Finland apologizes to Iceland for lying, and asks Iceland if they should start celebrating. Iceland insists that they're too old to be celebrating birthdays and he doesn't need childish stuff like that while Denmark cheers that they should. Iceland tells them to go do their work, and Denmark says that Iceland hasn't allowed them to celebrate his birthday with him in the past ten years. Finland adds that they chose a location that wouldn't be too obvious. Iceland hesitates, and Sweden asks him why he's so against it. Iceland thinks to himself that no matter how old he gets, the age gap between him and the others would never shrink, but he decides that it doesn't matter anymore. Iceland takes off his scarf, and Denmark notices that he's not wearing his normal sweater, and asks if he's trying to be stylish. Iceland is embarrassed and asks why he cares about his clothes, and Finland, Denmark, and Sweden compliment his outfit in return. They continue to poke fun at him, and eventually propose the idea that they should all wear matching outfits next time. Somewhat removed, Estonia remarks that it's good to be friendly with each other, and signs off as "Estonia, the next Nordic member".
