The Masaaki Kannan Anime Illustrations is a limited edition artbook for the anime Hetalia: Axis Powers. It was released in Japan by the publisher Gentosha. The 160 page, A4 size book includes a collection of anime related illustrations from DVDs, CDs, promotional images released in magazines, and various illustrations released on official goods. It covers illustrations from Axis Powers, World Series, Hetalia: Axis Powers: Paint it, White, and Gakuen Hetalia Portable and Gakuen Hetalia DS.
The book does not include all anime related promotional illustrations. Missing most notably are the illustrations used in the 2011 Hetalia World Series Calendar.
A number of illustrations that had abstract backgrounds have had their backgrounds removed in favor of a white background with minimal decoration along the borders. A number of related images are combined in a single collage such as the chibi illustrations released on the bonus CD cases included with the special edition DVDs. There is also a series of 2 page spread collages featuring the single members of the Axis, Allies and Prussia. As a bonus, beneath the dust jacket, the front and back covers include a series of illustrations used for the first Hetalia: World Series x Animate Cafe in black and white.
