The Anime Picture Book - Little Chibitalia (ヘタリア アニメ絵本 ちいさなちびたりあ) for the anime Hetalia: Axis Powers was released in Japan by the publisher Gentosha. It is a small 62 page, hardcover book that retells the story of Chibitalia using artwork from the first season of the anime. It is presented like a children's picture book, and includes furigana readings for the kanji.
The story runs from Italy's introduction, as seen in Episode 01, and through his stay at Austria's house. However, unlike the climax in Episode 11 where Holy Roman Empire asks Italy to join his empire, at the end of this book he just informs Italy that he is leaving and Italy watches as he goes.
At the end of the story, there is an additional section called "The Lengthy Footprints of Chibitalia". It consists of 6 pages of historical information, timelines, and maps relating to Italy from 272BC in Roman Times, up to the Peace of Cateau-Cambrésis in 1559AD. Each short historical segment includes a short comment from either Italy or Holy Roman Empire.
