America attempts to reduce the willpower of Japan and Russia, but his plans backfire. In a bonus illustration, America and Italy wonder where they can read "The Atmosphere", having misunderstood the phrase. This comic was later adapted in Episode 41 of the anime series.

After enduring taunts from France, England visits a young America and cooks for him. As he leaves, America becomes upset and England promises to visit again soon. Later, England returns to discover that America has grown bigger than him. This comic was later adapted in Episode 25 and Episode 47 of the anime series. It was also redrawn as part of "England, Dreaming of Days Long Passed" from Hetalia: Axis Powers Volume 3.

A Halloween special, featuring various characters in their Halloween costumes and celebrating: Poland and Lithuania are ambushed by Russia (who they had attempted to scare), England and Sealand find that nobody wants to come to their houses for candy, France winds up late to the party after being arrested for lewd behavior, and Italy and Hungary share the candy they received. This comic was later adapted in Extra Episode 2 of the anime series.

A strip requested by a fan who asked that Himaruya draw something in the style of bara, a genre of fiction aimed at gay males that features sexual relationships between masculine men. Himaruya instead drew a strip in the style of bara (roses), making a pun on the term. Austria notices that Italy has put on his tie in a crooked fashion. The two share an awkward "romantic" moment, complete with roses in the background, as Austria fixes it. Meanwhile, France and Spain realize that several frying pans have gone missing. A following illustration showed the evolution of Italy's hair curl.

However, after Austria interprets Italy's affections as "vulgar", Germany begins to grow concerned. The next day, Italy gives Germany flowers, which the latter interprets as a love confession. Extremely anxious, Germany accepts and immediately goes to buy dating advice books. This comic was later adapted in the episode "Buon San Valentino - First Part" of the anime series.

When England shows up, he comes across a naked France, who attempts to take his clothes off as well, leading to his arrest. Lithuania is exhausted by the heavy workload he's gotten since his return to Russia's house. He passes out on a couch and later wakes up next to Russia, who asks him what he was dreaming about. Lithuania concedes that he was dreaming about when he was younger and happier, and Russia reveals that he dreams about living in a warm place surrounded by sunflowers.

After purchasing some food, they realize that they should just ask China for help getting off the island. This comic was later adapted in Episode 24 of the anime series.

Spain falls incredibly ill due to the state of his economy, causing Romano to go on a quest to cure him, only to come back and find that Spain has already recovered (due to adopting the euro as his currency). After recovering, Spain spends time helping Austria make special flowers, while France envies the stability of Switzerland's land and people (due to his rich banks). It is shown that France has trouble with his own businesses due to the fact that his people have regularly-scheduled strikes. A map of nations' economy then shows how various characters are affected by their own economies. This comic was later partially adapted in Episode 62 of the anime series. It was also partially redrawn as part of "I Am Switzerland" from Hetalia: Axis Powers Volume 3.

In the follow-up to "Valentino - Aftermath", Germany reflects on his relationship with Italy as he heads to their date, and is furious to discover Italy flirting with girls upon arriving. Italy, not knowing it's a date, is very confused by Germany's behavior. Meanwhile, Hungary finds the dating advice book Germany was using and tells Austria how ridiculous it is, and Prussia spies on Austria and Hungary buying a book on how to comfort a German man whose been rejected romantically. On the date itself, Germany becomes very overwhelmed, and seemingly unlocks a forgotten memory. This comic was later partially adapted in the episode "Buon San Valentino - Second Part" of the anime series.

The spirit of Ancient Rome, Italy's grandfather, comes to earth to visit his grandson and ends up spending time with an annoyed Germany. This comic was later partially reprinted with minor alterations as "Grandpa Rome Pays a Visit" from Hetalia: Axis Powers Volume 2. It was also adapted in Episode 32 of the anime series.

Liechtenstein cuts her hair to emulate the style of Switzerland, to whom she feels grateful for taking her in. As they go out to run errands (and buy a ribbon for Liechtenstein's hair), they run into Austria. During an awkward lunch, unresolved issues between Switzerland and Austria bubble to the surface. This comic was later partially reprinted with a reconcieved secold half as "Liechtenstein's Doting Brother Diaries" from Hetalia: Axis Powers Volume 2. It was also adapted in the audio track "Liechtenstein's Journal of Swiss Dopiness" from Hetalia Drama CD: Volume 2, and Episode 23, Episode 24, and Episode 25 of the anime series.
