on Lovino

I seem to remember an Italian fan, Jjblue1, made a post confirming that Lovino did exist as a name, but it was very archaic. I'll have to see if I can find it, but it looks like that might confirm the "Lovino" spelling a bit too. "Feliciano" was also a much older name. Black-Noto 13:20, 15 November 2011 (EST)

Suggested Human Names

I managed to dig up the blog post on the suggested human names for characters such as Denmark, Norway, Iceland and Belgium (there are many others but these are just a few). I'm leaving the link here in case if anyone wants to view the original blog post. There's a few Nyotalia names as well so I'll leave the link on the Nyotalia page as well. America's Human Name

I really don't think the "F." part in "Alfred F. Jones" is the bad F word. I really don't think so. Or was that part vandalized by a vandal? EpicOtaku 14:06, 14 August 2012 (EST)

It's legit. It was part of an answer to a fan-submitted question (check the source!). Keep in mind, he was probably just joking around and having some fun so don't take it too seriously. He has an interesting sense of humour. :D Icelilly 14:59, 14 August 2012 (EST)

I also don't think his name has anything to do with Alfred Hitchcock, who was actually English. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.17.196.248 (talkcontribs) 03:29 2 October 2012

Missing Sources

I did some research back in early October and found two Japanese fan blogs that listed the dates of when the human names were posted. I've posted the sources of I've what I've been able to grab but of course some are still missing. The two blogs might be accurate (I won't post the link in case it breaks the "look but don't touch" policy") as the '08 names seem to correspond with the Wikipedia edits as well as a Japanese fan wiki for the Soviets (in the case for Belarus' name). What sources are left don't exist anymore. Sweden, Finland and Prussia supposedly had their names released in June 2007 but there are no surviving copies of those logs. Canada, Sealand and Egypt had their names released in March 2008 while Belarus had hers released in April. The '08 logs still exist on Kitayume but any references of the human names have long since been removed and there aren't any copies that go back far enough to check. Interestingly enough, Seychelles was given a name as well but her human name is the same as her country name. Maybe this was a joke or something? It was apparently posted in the March 2008 logs.

That being said, should we source the rest as dead links or leave them the way they are now? Icelilly (talk) 11:30, 13 November 2012 (CST)

Oh! And before I forget, should we make mention of the Nyotalia names as well or keep them strictly on the Nyotalia page? Icelilly (talk) 12:12, 13 November 2012 (CST)
I've been sourcing them as dead links, myself(just without saying they're dead because I'm not sure how. . . .) As for the Nyotalia names. . .maybe a "see also:" for each of them or a "to see the Nyotalia names" sort of thing which leads tot he Nyotalia page? The Nyotalia names are all there(unless we remove Switzerland's for not having enough relevant information) and if we keep them on the same page, it might be confusing(like "are there two of everyone/is (country) a boy or a girl in hetalia" sort of confusing.) We don't have a dead link template so I guess that's the best we can do. I like the "See also" idea! Lets do that. There's enough for Switzerland's section so I decided to keep it. It just needs some sourcing. \o/ Icelilly (talk) 12:44, 13 November 2012 (CST)
