The first musical, ''[[Hetalia: Singin' in the World|Hetalia ~Singin' in the World~]]'' ran from December 24 - 29, 2016 and [[2016 Hetalia Musical|a second musical]] has been announced for a November 2016 run.

Unlike other adaptions of the series, the musical diverge from the source material on certain key world-building plot points - most notably the nation characters representing the political motivations of the countries at the time, while in the manga the nation characters represented the country as a whole while their leaders ("bosses") dictated political aims. This has proven controversial due to the nature of historical events such as [[wikipedia:World War II|World War II]].
