Contents
Past
The two nations met in the early days, China took Japan in and raised him as a younger brother. When China mentioned about Japan being his brother to Tibet, Japan denied being related to him at all. He then betrayed China by attacking him, leaving a memorable scar. China stopped considering Japan as a brother as soon as he was betrayed.
Present day
When China was having a celebration (New Year's), Japan was the only one who attended out of courtesy. Later, he is scolded and reprimanded for sampling the food wrong [i.e. holding the dish wrong, throwing away miso, etc.] and he declares that he has a gift to give to China. China, blushing and swooning, mentions that giving gifts on holidays is a Western tradition, but "because it is from Japan, I want it." Japan sticks a piece of paper on China's back that says, "Magistrate," which is basically calling China out for his nitpicking.
