It was released early by [[Funimation]] to their subscribers in the United States and Canada on July 30, 2015, and was broadcast in Japan on July 31, 2015. It adapts the majority of the ''[[Hetalia: Axis Powers Volume 5#Back Then, You Used to Be...|Back Then, You Used to Be...]]'' chapter from [[Hetalia: Axis Powers Volume 5|''Hetalia: Axis Powers'' Volume 5]] and the majority of the ''[[Hetalia: Axis Powers Volume 6#The Life of the Great Man, the Awesome Me|The Life of the Great Man, the Awesome Me]]'' chapter from [[Hetalia: Axis Powers Volume 6|''Hetalia: Axis Powers'' Volume 6]], as well as one strip from the ''[[Hetalia: Axis Powers Volume 4#Hetalia-like Food Column|Hetalia-like Food Column]]'' feature from [[Hetalia: Axis Powers Volume 4|''Hetalia: Axis Powers'' Volume 4]] as an eyecatch. ==Plot Summary== ===Back Then, You Used to Be...=== America shows England his line of M1A1 tanks, and England complains that he makes too much of everything, remarking that he used to use things more carefully even when they'd become worn out. A cutaway of a younger America explains that when he began moving further inland, new clothes and weapons became more valuable, so the stuff they already had was used more. England speculates that the reason America might mass produce so many things now is because he experienced hunger a long time ago. Off to the side, America orders more tanks be made, and England says he can make as many as he wants and gives him chocolate. America is confused by this and asks what's the matter all of the sudden. After the opening credits, it is explained that Germany had been beating England on the African War front, but that he's recently been able to turn the tables as a beaten up Germany and Italy walk away from destroyed tanks. England laughs and declares that the British Empire is the strongest in the world. At that moment, America arrives, declaring that he is the world's liberator and he's come to England's rescue. He says that its the hero's duty to save the weak, and England is offended by this. England surveys America's equipment and deems it unsuitable for a desert, but America doesn't think it will be an issue. He declares that they should just attack Germany through France and it would be an easy victory, and England wishes it could be that easy. Changing the subject, America says that his boss hates England's boss, and asks if he wants to have a contest which England immediately shoots down. ===The Life of the Great Man, the Awesome Me=== The Narrator explains that this story is about Germany, but though it is now one single country, it used to consist of several countries who united under the name [[Holy Roman Empire]], though they were anything but united. However, they decided it would become tough if they stayed at odds, so they united to become modern day Germany. The big brother with the biggest ego of them all was Prussia, and he takes over from the narrator in talking about himself. While doing sit-ups, he says that he used to be a very modest country that didn't particularly stand out, but thanks to the influence of the Hohenzollerns, he gained incredible power. He went to war with big-name superpowers like Austria and France and won, which lead him to think about forming a proper German group. After kicking out Austria, he united all of Germany. He tells Germany this is how he was born and how awesome he was and that he can worship him as much as he wants. Germany, unimpressed, asks him to help fold the laundry and Prussia accepts. Later, at a bar, Germany and Prussia sit down and have drinks. The narrator contrasts their personalities and they click their beer glasses together. Prussia remarks that the descriptions make them sound totally different, and Germany agrees that they aren't too alike. Prussia wonders why they aren't more alike if they're brothers, and Germany says it would be two noisy if there were two Prussias. They take a drink in unison, and, sitting at a table behind them, Japan remarks that their drinking pace is the same, and Italy lets out a small snicker in agreement. In an additional panel at the end, Italy joins the brothers in holding up a beer and saying "Prosit!" (Cheers!). Underneath, a brief history of beer in Europe is explained, and it is noted that Germany's production and consumption of beer ranks third in the world. In the next scene, Germany and Prussia are crouched down in some bushes, and Prussia explains that it's not direct strength that's scary on the battlefield. He's learned this through experience, and flashes back to when Napoleon's army kept taunting him. Prussia hides behind a tree while France calls him a "little sissy bird" and asks if he's too afraid to fight him. Prussia gets angry and ducks out from his hiding spot to yell at France, but Pierre comes flying at him and pierces his forehead with his beak while Prussia yells out in pain. Outside the flashback, Germany explains to Prussia that it's him just not thinking things through. Prussia says he can't hear him and looks away, while Germany repeats himself with a louder voice. A beat up America returns and England tells him this is what he gets for not listening to his elders. Later, their alliance failing miserably, England yells at America for putting them at such a disadvantage, and notes state that they ended up having to flee their camp and leave their supplies behind. Afterwards, England receives a letter from Russia excitedly expressing his pleasure regarding their failure and telling them to keep arguing with each other until they're worn out. *This adaption omits the explanation at the end of ''The Life of the Great Man, the Awesome Me'' regarding the strategy employed by France in the final segment. It is accompanied by a small sketch of France yelling "your boss is stupid!". Next to it is a large, detailed illustration of France holding a knife to Prussia's throat, though a note indicates France gets punched later.
