Trivia
There were a couple of differences between the original story and this episode:
*The appearance of Sealand, Wy, and Seborga as the "We Want to be accepted to W Academy Club" was cut from the episode.
*Canada's segment was placed in front of Switzerland's.
*Before interviewing The Nordic club, they added a scene where they use cool introduction by names.
*When Denmark lie when he says that the furniture turns into a robot before being chokeholded by Sweden, it added another dialogue for Italy when he praises their amazing furniture after Japan was surprised hearing this.
*The possible reason for Hungary and Australia being in the Swimming Club is that, aside from America and Germany (both East and West during the cold war and the unified Germany before and after), those two countries won more Olympic medals in swimming than any other country.
*This is Australia's first-ever appearance in the anime
*After Germany gets mad at Veneziano accusing him of all the "weird" clubs in the school, it shows the scene when the Newspaper club were all having tea and eating delicious snacks.
*The first Mochi America segment eliminates the dialogue spoken by his owner (Estonia) and just has him address the audience. Similarly, the second segment eliminates the owner's dialogue as well as Mochi Italy's first line.
*The possible reason for Hungary and Australia being in the Swim Team is that, aside from America and Germany (both East and West during the cold war and the unified Germany before and after), those two countries won more Olympic medals in swimming than any other country.
It was first broadcast on February 1st, 2013. It adapts the entirety of the Gakuen Hetalia: Go Forth! Newspaper Club!! chapter in Volume 4 of the published manga. In addition, it also adapts Mochi Japan's profile illustration from the Omochi Manga Summary story in the original webcomic.

Plot Summary
The Narrator explains the premise of World Academy W, citing that it exists at the heart of the Earth, and its a school full of mysteries that countries around the world attend as ordinary students.

Newspaper Club
Germany announces that the topic of the next Academy Newspaper will be "Club Activities." Italy suggests doing a story about food or a beauty contest instead, but Germany insists that the topic around this time of year is always Club Activities. Japan proposes that they discuss Italy's suggestions next month and have some teacakes, which Italy eats happily. Japan points out to Germany that there are many strange clubs at the school like the "Siesta Club". Germany asks what people would do in that club, and Italy excitedly explains that they sleep, and he is a member of that club. Germany declares that they should go interview all the clubs for their article. As they head out, they pass Seychelles, who remarks that they lively today.

Chorus Club
Ukraine is happy that the Newspaper Club wants to interview the Choir, but she doesn't know what to say. Italy tells her to discuss what they normally do in the club, and tell them lots of stuff about herself as well, causing Germany to cut him off. Ukraine defers to Estonia, who explains that Lithuania and Latvia, Baltic States famous for their chorus, are also in the club, though Lithuania hasn't been able to participate much. Estonia says that among the students he is known as the "Singing Revolution", impressing Japan. However, the biggest characteristic of the club is that they are targeted by the Soviet Club. Russia, peeking out from behind a corner, explains that the Soviet Club has collapsed, and Germany tells him to go home. America arrives, bowling over Russia, and tells the Newspaper Club that they have to interview his Hero Club as well. Russia's scarf, possibly channeling Russia's anger, attacks America and binds him. The Newspaper Club stares in fright and Germany leaves.

Mochi Japan
In the first transition screen, a short tempo plays as Mochi Japan remains still onscreen, saying "so desu ne".

Gourmet Food Club
Turkey, China, and France explain the premise of the Gourmet Food Club. Only hand-picked gourmets can join the club, and they cook, eat, and love food. Italy says that he wanted to join but couldn't get in, and France explains that the club is only for mature people who love true gourmet food (and that England is barred from the club). The trio poses and recites a moniker enthusiastically, and Germany notes that the Gourmet Food club is "noisy".

Mochi Japan, Part 2
In the first transition screen, a short beat plays as Mochi Japan stares up at the moon shining down on some reeds, saying "so desu ne".

Magic Club
England thrusts up his cape, declaring that the Magic Club is very authentic and they want to keep it private from the public. He goes on to say that if they insist, he can tell them something if they manage to bend his spoon. Japan remarks that his tsundere process is mysteries, confusing England. Germany breaks the spoon in half and asks to continue the interview. Romania explains to them that the activities of the club include performing magic to ensure martial harmony, love charms, praying for a good harvest, and dressing up as "that wizard with the glasses and a scar on his forehead". England laments that the secrets of the club has been uncovered, and Japan thanks them for their cooperation

Aside, Germany remarks that the clubs at the school are all very unusual. England yells at him that the Newspaper Club is the strangest, and Japan says that they should agree that everyone is strange.

Trivia
*The second mochitalia transition segment doesn't appear to have been adapted from a specific panel or strip, but rather from an element present in the Omochi Manga Summary story, specifically in his profile (also adapted in this episode) where he says "so desu ne". The presence of the moon possibly alludes to occasions where Japan has engaged in a similar practice, including in The Story about the Early Days of China and Japan (adapted in Episode 16) where Japan says that there is a rabbit pounding mochi on the moon.
*This is Romania's first speaking appearance in the anime.
*Towards the beginning of the episode, the screen lingers momentarily on a shot of Germany's notes written in German. In English, they say:

*Notable differences between this adaption and the original chapter include Latvia's added appearance in the anime and Germany referring to the Vuvuzela Club before heading out to conduct interviews.
